Lake Time!!!
I spent the past week traveling all over the great state of Mississippi. This is an amazing state. I grew up in Kosciusko, yes, I'm still a Mississippi girl at heart even though I have moved to Arkansas (my new love). Soon I will post my cool pics I took. I saw some of the funniest things. But now it's time to go pick up the kids and relax at the lake. If only for a day and a half. (sigh!!!) But it will be so nice. No, this is not the lake I am going to. I wish. It's so beautiful. Actually, it is a beautiful painting I found on TechIMO.com . The artist is Waldo Desa. Go check out this work. Waldo is very talented. Couldn't you see yourself there. So relaxing. I am so outta here. See ya soon. S

Jewelry
Lately, I've been so obsessed in making jewelry. I never realized how exciting making it could be. I use wire (of course). My obsession with wire continues to grow. I've been using aluminum wire to make earrings. They are very light. When I'm wearing a pair I often forget I have them in. Emily (my babygirl) makes a great model for my earrings.

Fleur de lis
I have be very busy lately. But I love it. My friend Tina requested a Fleur de lis. After months of research on the basic image, I finally made one. The first one took awhile. That's usually how it goes with the first of anything I make. But after the first one was made I am able to make them pretty easily.
Seeing a Fleur de lis is liking having a banner with your name on it saying, "welcome home". You'll see these all over the South especially in New Orleans. I heard that after Katrina, the people in New Orleans used it like a sign of a new beginning, hope, and a welcome home. I love the thought of an object evoking hope.We all need a Lil more hope in this world.
